Elizabeth & Marcos
The wedding of Elizabeth and Marcos was a very personal, intimate event taking place at the Florida Keys and I knew she would be dressing without help from anyone. So, her bridal headpiece was made on a comb with a padded base and the veiling was sewn into the base. The final had a loop at each end of the veil's sides for easy placement with a pin.
She decided to wear the headpiece toward the back away from her face and not even the strong breeze at the Keys ruffled the feathers of this romance!

Wedding Bells
I love weddings, especially someone else's! I get the pleasure of making the bride gloriously happy, with none of the additional stress that she'll be exposed to. I also enjoy the fact that the piece I make for her will lessen that stress. After all, a beautiful headpiece enhancement to her wedding dress is something she won't have to WORRY about. :-)
Here are the 2 latest bridals from FeatherHeart. Both were made specifically for these lovely ladies' dresses and venues.

Melissa chose a flower style piece with crystals to match the lovely bling in her dress. There was a lot of subtle motion in the crystals which were wired and floated above the feather flower.
I can't wait for FeatherHeart to be part of your special day!

Thoughts on Quality vs Pricing
You know, sometimes I see work using materials similar to mine and I wonder, “How can they sell that so inexpensively”? I admit that sometimes I get frustrated and question my pricing. Am I overpricing my work?
Then, I look closely at some of those pieces and when I really scrutinize the workmanship, I see the gaps and the type of finishing I would never accept in a piece that represents my own brand. At times, I feel that people won’t tell or care about the difference, that they will be satisfied with less than the best possible quality in order to pay a few dollars less. I get set to follow this line of thinking but then, I snap out of it. You see, I wouldn’t personally make a purchase based on this, so I don’t want to create a client following who thinks that way.
I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist in my craft, whether it’s the design of a publication, for which I’ve won several awards, to the hand sewn bow on a fashion headband. You see, I want my work to be not just liked, but treasured, and become part of my customer’s favorites things for years to come.
In these challenging economic times, it makes sense to shop for pieces that will stand the test of time.
Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel said it best, “Fashion passes, style remains.” I want my work to stay because of its quality, because of its style.

Kreepy Kraft Fair - was VERY Kool!
Sunday, March 13 was really Kreepy! In a good way!
The ladies (and gents) of Kreepy Tiki put on a great show at Revolution Live! The ladies, of course, being the Kreepy Kittens and between the venue, the crowd and the energy, it was fantastic!
Cheryl (Valentine) was in the booth next to me. Cheryl is a wonderful artist and a giving person. She even gave her gorgeous locks to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation - a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. Check it out http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/participantid/422252
Check out Cheryl's artistry http://www.melodicmuse.net and be sure to click on her Etsy button to see her jewelry!
Next time the Kittens put on a show, you better SHOW UP! :-)

FeatherHeart and Lulu Cosmetics at bridal show
Put about 200 people planning happy occasions - weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet Sixteens or Quinces (the Hispanic coming out party for a 15-year-old), mix tasty food, drinks, TONS of cakes, music and fabulous vendors, and it's PARTY!
That's exactly what happened Sunday, February 27 at the Boca Raton Marriott.
It was super to be part of the team with Lulu Cosmetics www.lulucosmetics.com together with those fabulous pretend brides, Jackie K http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Jackie-K/171378572907507and Sandra Hidalgo http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=1402910641 These gals rocked it seriously as they floated through the crowd and got dreamy looks with their drop-dead gorgeous makeup by Lulu and headpieces from the FeatherHeart bridal collection. In addition, Sandra's bridal dress was a show-stopping contemporary number from Sara Mique www.saramique.com
